Paula Sozzi Saslow is a filmmaker based in Palo Alto, CA.  Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she moved to the US where she obtained a MA in Spanish from Stanford University, a PhD in Hispanic Literature from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Film Directing from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.  

Her short film “Diablo”, which she wrote and directed, was screened at numerous festivals including Oakland International Film Festival, San Antonio Film Festival and Austin Short Film Festival.  It also won numerous awards such as a Remi at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and was a finalist for the 2017 Imagen Awards.

She was a 2018 SFFILM FilmHouse Resident co-writing the narrative film “Perfectly human Death” with screenwriter Samuel Blue Gibson. Her latest short film “The Adjunct” is now making the rounds in the festival circuit.
